Low in Calories: One cup of strawberries contains only about 45 calories.

Immune System: One cup of strawberries provides 136% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin C. Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant and helps lower blood pressure and it ensures a healthy immune system.

You can lose 1 lb. per month without any other dietary changes other than boosting your fiber intake up to 30 to 40 g daily. The higher fiber content keeps your body from absorbing 100 calories per day, which adds up to nearly 3,500 calories in a month -- the amount in one pound.

Possible Cancer Preventative: Enjoying a glass of strawberry juice daily might reduce your risk of cancer. Strawberry juice -- filled with antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin A, alpha and beta-carotene -- might help slow or prevent the development of cancer, according to the National Cancer Institute.
